North Mankato opens cooling room in Police Annex

North Mankato has opened the police department community room as a cooling center for those in need of shelter during the impending heat wave.

The community room will be open from Saturday, June 18 through Thursday, June 23 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Water will be available.

The room is under 24-hour audio and video surveillance.
