Old Town Mankato’s Day of the Dead celebration this weekend

Old Town Mankato’s Day of the Dead celebration is set for Saturday. 

The event draws from centuries of Latin American tradition. Festivities start at 11 a.m. and include a mariachi band, Mexican and Aztec dancers, food trucks, and family-friendly activities. 

The celebration goes until 4 p.m. on Riverfront Drive, which will be closed from Plum to Rock streets during the event.
