Two people were injured, one seriously, in a crash on Highway 169 in North Mankato Sunday night.
A Minnesota State Patrol crash report says a Chevy Impala driven by Chane Eugene Larson, 48, of St. Peter, was northbound on Highway 169 when it collided with the concrete barrier near the Lookout Drive entrance ramp just before 10 p.m.
James Carl Nielsen, 53, of North Mankato, who was a passenger in the Impala, was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with life-threatening injuries.
Larson was hospitalized in Mankato with non-life threatening injuries. The patrol says alcohol was detected in his system.
It’s unknown whether Nielsen or Larson were wearing seat belts.
