Public’s Help Sought in Search for Mankato Hit & Run Driver

(Mankato, MN) – The search continues for a vehicle involved in a hit and run in Mankato just before 5:00 Sunday afternoon.

Justin Niles says he was driving down Cherry Street when his car collided with a minivan that had run a stop sign on 4th Street. Niles says the van took off darting through alleys in the area and he called called police, but the vehicle has not yet been located. Niles was not injured.

The vehicle in question is a dark colored Toyota Sienna, with a light bottom, thought to be similar to the one pictured above. The Sienna will have damage in the middle of the passenger side, with the fender near the sliding door missing.

Anyone who witnesses the accident or has information about the suspect driver/vehicle is asked to contact Mankato police at 507-387-8700.
