Pursuit ends with Janesville woman’s arrest
(Mankato, MN) – A Janesville woman was arrested after a police pursuit Friday morning.
The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office says officers were dispatched to Le Ray Township Road 295 on the south side of Madison Lake at 11:43 a.m. A citizen had reported that a woman was getting in and out of an SUV parked on the side of the road and had fallen.
Eagle Lake Police found the vehicle driving away from the area and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled.
Police say the pursuit lasted for about five miles, reaching speeds of up to 70 miles per hour. The driver, identified as Alysa Marie Hoeppner, 50, pulled over about two miles into Le Sueur County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Hoeppner was jailed on possible charges of fleeing police in a motor vehicle and driving while impaired.
