Worker killed in Le Sueur County accident

A worker was killed in an accident in rural Le Sueur County Tuesday morning.

Tanner Korey Dosch, 23, of Rosemount, was fatally injured when he was run over by a skid loader near the intersection of Highway 99 and Co Rd 140, in Montogomery Township.

Dosch was part of a crew from Minnesota Valley Electric Company (MVEC) that was working on a power line system, according to a press release from the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say Dosch was riding in the bucket of a John Deere skid loader driven by another MVEC employee.  When the skid loader drove into the ditch area, Dosch’s harness rope was run over by the loader, according to the release. He was pulled from the bucket, then run over by the loader.

Dosch’s MVEC co-workers immediately provided first aid until deputies and emergency personnel arrived on the scene at about 9:12 a.m.  An air ambulance followed, but Dosch was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol, the Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office.

The Montgomery fire & police departments assisted at the scene.
