(Mankato, MN) – Minnesota State Representative and house DFL minority leader Melissa Hortman talked to SouthernMinnesotaNews.com before the legislature reconvenes on Monday.
We discussed how the DFL plans to get back in touch with rural Minnesotans. Hortman says that there are three core issues that Minnesotans are concerned about: education for their children, healthcare, and economic security. We also talked to Hortman about a couple of bills that she authored. One of those bills is House 3880, which aims to provide more resources for children in schools who are seeking skilled labor and trade jobs.
