St. Peter man injured in Highway 22 crash with dump truck

(Mankato, MN) – An elderly St. Peter man was injured in a collision with a dump truck Tuesday afternoon.

Darwin Dale Gertner, 85, was transported to River’s Edge Hospital with non-life threatening injuries following the crash at Highway 22 and County Road 15 just after 4 p.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol says Gertner’s Chevy Impala was on County Road 15 stopped at Highway 22 and collided with a Freightliner Dump Truck that was westbound on the highway.

The driver of the Freighliner, Micah Andrew Zastrow, 26, of Mankato, wasn’t injured in the crash.
