(St. Peter, MN) – A public pool in St. Peter has closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The city announced on its Facebook page over the weekend that the Roy T. Lindenberg Memorial Outdoor Pool would close for the season effective Sunday, August 9.
“During the summer pool season we have put many different safety measures in place to protect pool users and our staff,” said the post. “Pool staff has worked very hard to follow these safety measures. With safety in mind we have made the decision to close the pool for the season due to a pool staff testing positive for COVID-19.”
The city said exposure risk is low because of safety measures that had been implemented to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
