State patrol cites alcohol in Highway 14 rollover

The Minnesota State Patrol says alcohol was a factor in a one-vehicle rollover Sunday night in Mankato.

The crash happened just before midnight in the eastbound lanes of Highway 14 when a Ford Taurus lost control and rolled in the ditch.

The 29-year-old driver, Deyauna Williams of Minneapolis, and her passenger, Samya Starr Robinson, 18, of Mankato, were both transported to Mayo Clinic Mankato with non-life threatening injuries.

The state patrol’s crash report says alcohol was detected in Williams’ system.

Roads were snowy and icy at the time of the crash, according to the crash report.
