Teen accused of raping school acquaintance
(Mankato, MN) – A teen is accused of raping a woman at a Mankato residence in August.
Joshua David Etter, 19, of Surprise, Arizona, was charged Friday with felony first and third-degree counts of criminal sexual conduct in Blue Earth County Court.
According to the criminal complaint, a female told police she and Etter knew each other from school and had begun communicating on social media before she invited him to a friend’s house in mid-August. The female told police the two had had consensual sex that night.
The following morning, the alleged victim declined to have sex with Etter again, but she told police he held her hands down and raped her.
Etter denied the rape. He’s been summoned to appear in court on November 21.
