Teen airlifted after rollover crash in rural Blue Earth
Two juveniles girls were hospitalized following a rollover crash in rural Blue Earth on Saturday afternoon.
Faribault County deputies responded to Co Rd 16 just east of 450th Ave at 4:40 p.m. to the single-vehicle rollover crash.
Tori Oswald, 16, of Blue Earth, was ejected from the Ford F-150 pickup she was driving, according to a press release from the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office. Oswald’s juvenile female passenger was also believed to have been ejected, or partially ejected from the vehicle, according to the release.
Police say neither occupant of the pickup was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Oswald and her passenger were transported to United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Oswald was then airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for further treatment of her injuries, according to the release.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Frost Fire Department assisted at the scene.
