Thief steals vehicle from home near Henderson, drives to casino

A thief stole a vehicle from a home near Henderson Monday morning and drove it to a casino.

Sibley County Sheriff’s deputies responded at 7:05 a.m. to a burglary and motor vehicle theft about five miles west of Henderson.

Investigators say the resident was at home when the suspect broke into the locked garage and stole the vehicle, which was later located at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake.

Police say a 44-year-old Rochester man was taken into custody on charges of 1st-degree burglary and motor vehicle theft.
