Vietnam Veteran’s Day program in St. Peter this week

A program will be held in St. Peter this week in recognition of the 50-year anniversary since the U.S. withdrew all troops from South Vietnam.

The Last Man Club of Vietnam War Era of St Peter is presenting the Vietnam War Veteran’s Day Program Wednesday, March 29 at the St. Peter Community Center Auditorium at 5 p.m.

The program includes a placing of the remembrance wreath and a keynote address by Ron Haugen, a Vietnam War Veteran from 1969 to 1970.

Post #37 Color Guard will present the colors, and the Minnesota Over 60 band will provide music.

A tolling of the bell for the departed will close out the ceremony, followed by a free-will donation luncheon at the St. Peter American Legion.
