(Mankato, MN) – A Waseca man who allegedly raped a teenage boy is accused of having sex with a vulnerable adult.

Ronald Robert Huelsnitz, 48, was charged Wednesday in Blue Earth County Court with three counts of felony third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, Huelsnitz met the victim at the mall where she worked and got her address from a co-worker.  The woman told police Huelsnitz came to her apartment and took her on a nature walk.  The two returned to the apartment to watch a movie, which eventually led to sex.

The victim said she’d told Huelsnitz she was a vulnerable adult, and he told her that vulnerable adults can be easily taken advantage of.

Huelsnitz allegedly told the victim about being with a 15-year-old, and about dating apps and how he could find people that are willing to “put out.”  The victim told police she was uncertain about Huelsnitz at that point.

Police reports say it was evident the victim was “lower functioning.”

Huelsnitz admitted to having sex with the victim up to six times.  He acknowledged knowing she was a vulnerable adult.

Huelsnitz was charged in September with multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct after a teen boy reported he’d been raped by Huelsnitz, who he had met on a dating app.
