Wells man injured in train vs. car accident

(Blue Earth, MN) – A rural Wells mail carrier was injured yesterday morning when he failed to yield to a train about two miles west of Kiester.

Thomas Alan Feist, age 56, was northbound on 560th Avenue at 11:40 a.m. when he was hit by an eastbound train as he crossed over the tracks.

The van Feist was driving was hit on the rear driver’s side.  The impact spun into the ditch, where it overturned.

Feist suffered minor injuries and was transported from the scene by the Kiester Ambulance.
