(Mankato, MN) – A young woman who was airlifted to Rochester following a crash west of Lake Crystal Monday has died.

According to the state patrol 20-year-old Jalynn Rose Williams of Mankato, was transported to St. Mary’s Rochester after the crash, where she later succumbed to her injuries  The state patrol’s crash report says Williams wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

The crash occurred at about 6:41 p.m. Monday, when a Ford SUV cut off a Chevy Blazer in the eastbound lanes of Highway 60. The Chevy entered the ditch and rolled.  The Ford entered the median, but drove back onto the highway and left the scene.

The Chevy’s driver, Dennis Raymond Egge, 26, of Mankato, was transported to Mayo Clinic Mankato with non-life threatening injuries.

The Ford SUV has not been located.
