Update: Police identify victim of fatal house fire in Redwood County

A woman was been found deceased after a Morton-area house fire Friday evening.

The Redwood Falls Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house on fire on Reservation Highway 1 at about 8:15 p.m. Crews were able to successfully extinguish the fire.

Firefighters searched the house afterward and located the body of 65-year-old Theresa Wabasha.

The incident is under investigation by the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshal.
