Two trailers were destroyed and one person was injured in a fiery explosion at a New Ulm trailer court early Tuesday morning.
The New Ulm Fire Department was dispatched to Oakwood Estates at 2526 South Bridge St at 12:52 a.m.
Trailer #19 was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived, and the fire had spread to Trailer #18, according to a press release from NUFD. Both trailers are a total loss.
Crews had both fires under control in about one hour.
The release says occupants in both trailers had already escaped when crews arrived. One person sustained burns and was transported to the hospital.
NUFD says several surrounding trailers were also evacuated.
The explosion and fire originated in the garage of Trailer #19, according to NUFD.
