COVID deaths reported Friday in Nicollet, Faribault, Freeborn counties

Three area counties reported COVID-19 deaths on Friday.

The Minnesota Department of Health’s daily update Friday says a person in their late 50’s died in Nicollet County, while a death in Faribault County involved a person in their late 70’s.  In Freeborn County, a resident in their late 60’s died.  Two fatalities were also reported in Mower County; the deaths involved victims in their late 70’s and early 80’s.

Friday’s daily update also reported another 4,131 newly confirmed infections, including 38 new cases in Blue Earth County, 34 in Nicollet County, and 18 new cases in each Le Sueur and Waseca counties.

The most recent capacity report shows 1,467 coronavirus patients hospitalized as of November 26.  That number includes 340 people in intensive care.

Minnesota’s death toll is now at 9,338.
