Ex-boyfriend of Madeline Kingsbury arrested after human remains found

Madeline Kingsbury’s ex-boyfriend was arrested after human remains were found in Fillmore County Wednesday afternoon.

Adam Fravel is behind bars in connection to the disappearance of Kingsbury, the mother of his children. Fravel is booked in the Winona County Jail on suspicion of 2nd-degree murder.

A Fillmore County deputy discovered human remains in some brush off Highway 43 north of Mabel. Investigators aren’t positively identifying the body yet, but Winona Police say the remains were found using information regarding Kingbury’s disappearance.

Kingsbury was last seen on March 31 dropping her children off at daycare.  She didn’t show up for work that day.  Fravel told police he’d left the home at around 10 a.m. in Kingsbury’s van, and she was gone when he arrived home. A van similar to Kingsbury’s was seen driving on Highway 43 through the eastern part of Fillmore County on the day she disappeared.

Investigators will hold a news conference Thursday to give an update on the case.
