Over two dozen sex trafficking victims rescued during Final Four; dozens arrested
(St. Paul, MN) – Twenty-eight victims, including a child, were rescued from sex trafficking operations during the Final Four weekend in Minneapolis.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension-led Human Trafficking Investigators Task Force conducted an operation April 4-8 in the Twin Cities using social media.
The BCA says 47 people were booked on probable cause felony solicitation of a minor, while another 11 were booked on probable cause sex trafficking. Investigators arrested suspects as they arrived at an arranged meeting place for an encounter. Most were from the greater Twin Cities area, according to a release from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
