Blues Clues host Steve Burns to present on depression, burnout at MSU

Actor Steve Burns, the former host of the children’s TV show, “Blues Clues,” on Nickelodeon, will speak out about depression and burnout at Minnesota State University, Mankato next month.
Burns’s presentation is called “The Cost of Showing Up Happy: Burnout and the Wisdom of Asking for Help.” Burns was a cheerful host who sang and danced and bolstered self-esteem, but he was doing so with undiagnosed severe clinical depression.
During the event, Burns will share the lessons he learned from his struggles. His presentation is Tuesday, February 20 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Centennial Student Union Ballroom. Tickets are $15 for the general public; $7 for students with VIP packages available.
