Easton man accused of starting 3 large fires

An Easton man has been arrested in connection with three large fires that investigators say were intentionally set on Friday.

The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check and a potential structure fire at 20061 460th Ave in rural Easton at about 6:30 p.m.

Three large fires were burning on the property when deputies arrived on the scene, according to a press release.  The residence, a garage, and two vehicles were all estimated as total losses as a result of the fires.

Steven Gray, 63, was found at the scene and taken into custody without incident on three counts of 1st-degree arson.

Fire departments from Easton, Wells, Delavan, and Minnesota Lake were able to suppress the fires within two hours.
