Update: 2 men killed in Highway 22 crash near Kasota

Two men were killed in a crash on Highway 22 near Kasota Sunday evening.

Michael Alvin Hoffman, 53, of Mankato, and Dwan Pierre Long, 20, of Jordan, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The Minnesota State Patrol says Hoffman was northbound on Highway 22 in a Jeep Cherokee and Long was southbound in a Dodge Charger when their vehicles collided.  The crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. in Kasota Township, in Le Sueur County.

Both men were the drivers and sole occupants of their vehicles.  They were both wearing seat belts.  Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to a patrol report.
