Fire damages Mankato home

A Mankato home was damaged by fire Tuesday night.
Mankato Public Safety responded at about 6:30 p.m. to 621 Mound Ave for a report of a home on fire. Upon arrival, crews saw smoke coming from the roof of the home.
Firefighters entered the home and extinguished the blaze, which was in the attic.
All the occupants were able to safely get out of the home before emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
Damages are estimated at $75,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
