A Gibbon woman was critically injured when a car crashed into a parked vehicle in Hector Friday night.

Roads were snow and ice-covered at the time of the crash, which happened at Dupont Ave NE around 7 p.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a Ford Escape was traveling south on Highway 4 when it collided with a Mazda Sedan that was parked on the shoulder of the roadway.

Darla Jean Stark, 60, of Gibbon, was a passenger in the Mazda. Stark suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital in Olivia, according to the crash report.

Also hospitalized was Douglas Albert Stark, 59, of Gibbon, a passenger in the Mazda, and Robin Lynne Peterson, 57, of Hutchinson, the driver of the Ford. Douglas Stark and Peterson had non-life threatening injuries, according to the patrol.

The driver of the Mazda, Steven Douglas Stark, 25, of Hector, and a passenger in the Ford, Leonard George Huepenbecker, 80, of Hutchinson, were not injured.
