Highway 99 Stage 2 detour begins

The Stage 2 detour for Highway 99 from Nicollet to St. Peter begins Tuesday, May 25.

Traffic will be detoured to Highway 111, Nicollet County Rd 5, and then continue to the intersection with Highway 169.

The Stage 2 detour will be implemented for about two weeks before reverting back to the Stage 1 detour on June 8.  The Stage 1 detour will then remain in place until the completion of the project in mid-August.

The project includes resurfacing 11 miles of Highway 99 from Birch St in Nicollet to the south intersection with Highway 169 in St. Peter, box culvert replacement, lighting additions at two county road intersections, and lengthening the right turn lane at Nicollet Co Rd 13.
