A rural Le Center man will spend time in prison for murdering his father in 2021

Hardy Robert Wills-Traxler, 27, was sentenced Friday in Le Sueur County Court to 25 ½ years in prison with credit for 664 days already served.

Wills-Traxler will serve the first two-thirds of his sentence, about 15 years, at the Minnesota Corrections Facility in St. Cloud. With good behavior, the final third of his sentence would be served on supervised release.

Wills-Traxler was arrested in January 2021 after the deceased body of his father, 64-year-old Bruce Traxler, was discovered following a fire in rural Le Center.
