Le Sueur County offering discounted firearm application fee for military members

Members of the military will now get a discount on the application fee for carrying a firearm in Le Sueur County.

Sheriff Brett Mason announced the fee schedule change Monday.

Active military personnel, veterans, and retired law enforcement in good standing with valid credentials will pay $25 to apply for a Minnesota Uniform Firearm Permit to Carry a Pistol.

The new fee schedule went into effect on Jan 1.
