A Mankato man has been arrested in connection to an overdose death in May.

Myles Daniel Hickman, 26, was charged with third-degree murder Tuesday in the death of 31-year-old Jessie Barnhart, who died in Mankato.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner reported Barnhart’s death was caused by drug toxicity, including heroin and fentanyl, according to a press release from Minnesota Drug Task Force Commander Jeff Wersal.

The release says the task force investigation found that Hickman supplied the drugs that caused Barnhart’s death.

This is a developing story.
