Man dies in workplace fall in North Mankato

A St. Peter man died in a fall at a North Mankato workplace last week.

Jesus M. Lara-Mena, 57, was killed after he fell from the roof of RDO Equipment at 1910 Lor Ray Dr.

North Mankato Police responded to RDO just before 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 4 for a report that a person had fallen from the roof of the building.  Paramedics arrived on the scene to find Lara-Mena unconscious.  Life-saving measures were attempted but Lara-Mean was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the Lara-Mena appeared to have fallen approximately 30 feet.  The incident remains under investigation by the North Mankato Police Department and the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.
