Mankato police searching for suspect in armed robbery attempt near campus
(Mankato, MN) – Mankato police are reaching out to the public for help locating the suspect of an armed robbery at an apartment complex near the university campus.
Police say the incident happened at around 11 p.m. Friday night in the parking lot of the Blue Heron apartments at 160 Homestead Road. A press release from Mankato Public Safety says “an unknown black male displayed a handgun while demanding cash and car keys of a victim.”
The man fled the scene and didn’t take anything.
The suspect is described as being around 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a gray sweatshirt.
The victim wasn’t injured.
