Mapleton Fire on the scene of large blaze

The Mapleton Fire Department is battling a large fire on the city’s southeast side.

Fire officials are asking the public to avoid the area of Highway 22 and Borchert St SE as they actively fight the blaze.  Multiple departments are on the scene.

Blue Earth County Scanner Group reports the fire is at Ero-Guard, and the building is fully engulfed in flames.
