Minnesota’s minimum-wage rate to be adjusted for inflation

Minnesota’s minimum wage rates will be adjusted for inflation, effective on January 1.

Under the new rates, large employers with an annual gross revenue of at least $500,000 must pay at least $10.59 an hour.

Small employers with an annual gross revenue of less than $500,000 must pay $8.63 per hour.

A 90-day training wage for employees under the age of 20, and the under-18 youth wage is set at $8.63 per hour.

The state minimum-wage rates will not apply to the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, which have higher minimum-wage rates.
