New Ulm man injured in Highway 15 crash

A New Ulm man was injured Tuesday when he lost control of his pickup between Lafayette and Winthrop.

Thomas Gene Blickem, 67, was transported to New Ulm Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries following the 8:40 a.m. crash in Cornish Township, in Sibley County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says Blickem was southbound on Highway 15 when he lost control of his Chevy Colorado, entered the ditch, and hit a power pole.

The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office and the Lafayette Fire Department assisted at the scene.
