Nicollet County announces finalists for administrator position

Nicollet County has narrowed the selection for a county administrator to two candidates.

The first candidate is Mandy Landkamer, who is currently serving as the interim county administrator and Property and Public Services Director for Nicollet County, and has been employed by the county for over 13 years.

Chuck Whiting, the current county administrator for Polk County is the second candidate.  Whiting has been in his current position for nine years.  He was previously the city administrator in Faribault.

The Nicollet County Administrator position opened in spring after the board of commissioners approved a separation agreement with then-admin Ryan Krosch.  The resignation of the county’s Human Resource Director, Jamie Haefner, was also accepted at the same meeting.  The reasons for Krosch and Haefner’s exits were never made public.
