There was no sign during Sunday’s search of Jeanine Jackson, the 81-year-old Sanborn woman who went missing nearly two weeks ago.
Jackson’s chihuahua was found alive on Saturday on a gravel road west of Sanborn near the Cottonwood County line. The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office immediately searched for Jackson in the area, but she wasn’t located.
After another fruitless search effort yesterday, authorities are asking area residents to search their properties and report anything suspicious to the sheriff’s office. They are also asking farmers and hunters to remain vigilant when taking to the fields.
Anyone with information about Jackson’s whereabouts should contact the Redwood County Sheriff.
