North Mankato Police investigating death of 25-year-old as possible overdose

North Mankato Police are investigating the death of a young man as a potential drug overdose.

Police responded at 10:40 p.m. Monday night to an apartment on the 400 block of Allan Ave for a possible overdose.

Officers found a 25-year-old man was found inside the residence, where he was pronounced deceased.  His name is being withheld pending notification of family members.

The man’s body will be autopsied by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office to determine a cause of death.  Police say foul play is not suspected at this time.

The Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force will assist with the investigation.
