One wounded in shooting at Fairfax service station; suspect in custody
(Fairfax, MN) – A man was wounded and another man is in custody following a shooting Friday morning at a service station in Fairfax.
The Renville County Sheriff’s office says a 60-year-old man from Fairfax was disarmed and arrested after deputies responded to a report of a person that was shot in the office of the station just before 8 a.m. The suspect was located immediately after sheriff’s officials arrived on the scene
The male victim, a 55-year-old employee of the business, suffered gunshot wounds to his hand and face. He was treated at the scene for his injuries and later airlifted to North Memorial in Robbinsdale. His injuries didn’t appear to be life-threatening.
The suspect is being held in the Renville County Jail. He is not an employee at the service station. The shooting remains under investigation.
