Passenger critically injured in Highway 22 motorcycle crash

The passenger on a motorcycle was critically injured in a crash Wednesday morning on Mankato’s outskirts.

Rebekah Michelle Edman, 43, of Mankato suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash at Highway 22 and Augusta Dr.  She was transported to Mayo Clinic Mankato for medical care.

A state patrol crash report says the motorcycle was southbound on Highway 22 in Mankato Township when the driver, Trevor Ellis Tomlinson, 31, of West Concord, laid the bike down to avoid a collision with a vehicle that was attempting to turn west onto Augusta Dr.

Tomlinson wasn’t injured in the crash.

Neither Tomlinson nor Edman were wearing helmets, according to the crash report.
