Truck strikes, damages Highway 14 bridge

A truck on Highway 22 in Mankato struck and damaged the Highway 14 bridge Monday afternoon. 

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the right lane and shoulder on eastbound Highway 14 (over Highway 22) will remain closed until MnDOT receives more information from their bridge office following inspection. Traffic restrictions on northbound Highway 22 have been removed.

MnDOT says the bridge beam was damaged and replacement is required, but won’t happen until spring.
