Woman, child hospitalized after rollover north of Le Sueur

A woman and a child were hospitalized following a rollover northeast of Le Sueur Sunday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says roads were snow and ice-covered when a pickup traveling north on Highway 169 in Tyrone Township left the roadway and rolled multiple times, just after 9 a.m.

Kendra Nicole Wardell, 20, of St. Peter, was behind the wheel of the pickup.  Wardell and a 4-year-old juvenile passenger were transported to a Le Sueur healthcare facility for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  Wardell and the child were both wearing seat belts.

Another passenger, Derrick Matthew Sejrup, 22, of St. Peter, wasn’t injured.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the state patrol.
